We use homeopathy, herbalism, naturopathy, nutrition, acupuncture and TCM, flower remedies, manual medicine (combination of OB, VM and CST), reflexology, reiki, pranic healing and more, creating individualised, specific treatments for each and and every patient...no "one size fits all".
We treat people, not labels. No preconceptions, no protocols or programmes, only personalised approaches.
Please note that not showing up for an appointment or failing to cancel it in time (24 hours notice) will incur a charge equivalent to the full consultation fee.We have had too many jokers doing this repeatedly. A minimum of courtesy and common decency is requested. Unpaid bills are send to debt collectors without further notice.
I am a Brussels' Sprout, and proud of it. Born and raised in Brussels, Belgium, 1951. When I was 5 years old, I told my paediatrician that one day I would be a Doctor and I would cut people open…so I started the long road to become a surgeon, which is slightly more acceptable socially than Joe the Ripper.
I graduated from the Universite Libre de Bruxelles, Medical School, one of the oldest European Universities, in 1976 "cum magnum laude". Then off I went into General Surgery, in Israel and Belgium; once that was achieved, I followed up with Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery at the University of Alberta, Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.
While in private practice in Brussels, suddenly, out of the blue, and as usual on a week-end, my back locked up: I could not move, I was in atrocious pain; no pain medication whatsoever helped, so I resorted to call a friend who was practicing Acupuncture and whom I teased all the time about his superstitious voodoo practice: he had a good laugh, enjoyed sticking needles in my defenseless body, but after twenty minutes I was mobile and ready to go. What a slap in the face of my ego! Me, the scientist and the specialist, I could not solve a simple backache and this primitive, baseless technique did it! I had only two choices: either deny it ever happened or try to understand what happened. I am extremely curious and nosy by nature, so I choose to understand and registered for the three years course of Acupuncture at the ABMA.
Soon I started sticking needles in my patients, and to my surprise and excitement, it worked.
When my son was born, I was still a firm believer in the values of vaccinations; after all I had been well indoctrinated…so after his first set of vaccinations, the rounds of ear infections, antibiotics, diarrhoea and nappy rashes started. During the third round, I asked his paediatrician, a big shot in Brussels, if there was anything that could be done; the answer was "no, he will outgrow it". By then I was slightly smarter and brought him to a homeopath. A few powders later, all was well. Another blow to my knowledge of medicine! And from there I became unstoppable. I studied Homeopathy in three different schools at the same time, Herbalism, TCM, nutrition, homeobotanical medicine, Homotoxicology, flower remedies, anything I could sink my teeth in.
After a four years stint in South Africa during which I taught Medical Diagnostics at the Faculty of Chiropractic and Homeopathy in Durban, now DUT, I returned with the family to Israel where I worked for seven years for the National Health Service. Needless to say, there were daily loud vocal arguments about treatments, the NHS refusing to allow me to use non-conventional methods of treatment. By December 2000, I really had a gutful, slammed my resignation and the door and abandoned the practice of techno-chemical medicine. On July 2, 2001, we immigrated to New Zealand and settled in New Plymouth, Taranaki.
By now, I have my Doctorate in Medicine (MD), a Doctorate in Naturopathy, a Doctorate in Oriental Medicine (OMD) a PhD in Homeopathy, a PhD in Natural Medicine and a Doctorate in Osteopathy (DO). I also started studying and using Ortho-Bionomy and Visceral Manipulation as well as Cranio-Sacral Therapy. I have authored many articles, the books "Dynamic Gemmotherapy. Beyond Gemmotherapy", "Organotherapy, Drainage and Detoxification", "The Potency. Advanced Prescribing in Homeopathy" (obsolete and OOP), "Fibonacci Potencies. The final words", "Homeopathy through the Chinese looking glass: Homeosiniatry revisited", "DSSI. Dynamic Somato-Structural Integration" and "Third Millennium Homeopathy". In 2015, I published "Elementary Nutrition for Homeopaths" and "Elementary Human Nutrition for Health Practitioners" which have the same nutritional value and calories count but in the latter, I removed the "Homeo-babble" for those who are not homeopaths or cannot be bothered with it. A few more books are in the pipe-line...
Until recently, I used a lot of alphabet soup letters after my name: MD, PhD, NMD, and others. In its infinite wisdom, the Ministry of Health requested that I cease using the letters MD, as I am not registered to practice conventional medicine in New Zealand and it could confuse the patients, leading them to believe I am a "real" doctor. I thought it was not worth a legal fight, so I complied and decided to remove everything other than NMD: Doctor for the highest degrees I have achieved and Natural Medicine as an overall designation for everything I practice, meaning medicine according to the laws of nature. I am also not regitered to practice conventional Osteopathy in NZ.
I am a First Dan Black Belt in Aikido, Second Dan Black Belt in Karate, a Tai Chi and Qigong practitioner and a student of Yoga.
And that is about it……..

Another fancy name to attract people?
We do not define ourselves by our method of practice, we do not say "I am a Homeopath, a Herbalist, an Acupuncturist, a TCM practitioner, a Nutritionist, a Naturopath, an Ortho-Bionomist, a Reiki Master, a Reflexologist, a Medical Doctor, a Registered Nurse" or whatever else.
We are Health Practitioners, period. Other languages define it better: Geneesheer in Dutch, meaning Man of Healing (although this term is now synonymous of Conventional Medical Doctor), Curanderos in South America, Sangoma in South Africa, etc,...
Basically we use all the different approaches for diagnostic (yes, we use that dreaded word...) and treatment in a wholistic way, meaning that there is no preconception on how anyone will be treated. It is a blank page for every person; a diagnosis is build using the tools of conventional medicine, Homeopathic Medicine, Physiomedicalism, Chinese Medicine, Osteopathic Medicine and others; then a therapeutic programme is created using what we believe is the best, fastest, safest and cheapest way to restore total health (or as close as possible to it), specifically for each and every patient.
What is a diagnosis? the understanding of the mechanism, the process, that led to the patient's actual situation. The label does not matter, this is a matter of semantics and ease of communication: saying "eczema" has some common meaning for everybody (and a different one for each person), instead of using a long circumvented and often unintelligible sentence...but the same "eczema" might as well be labelled "wet fire in the Lung meridian and Lung Zang" or an "itchy, scratchy, dreadful nuisance"...it really does not matter, we still will try to find roots, causes, maintaining causes and ways to eliminate them.
I was a conventional medical doctor for 25 years, 17 of them spent as a specialist surgeon, as you will read on my personal section. I am not registered to practice conventional medicine or conventional osteopathy in New Zealand, but my knowledge has not disappeared.
Eugenie, my wife and partner at the Clinic was a Registered Nurse; she still possess all her nursing skills and knowledge.
We both use all the tools we have studied over the years in the best interest of our patients.
Admittedly, I will most often use Homeopathy and Eugenie will use Reflexology, FJ Mobilisation, Pranic Healing and Reiki. That does not prevent any of us from using any other technique, mixing them, creating new methods, discovering new ways, being creative and ingenious as the need arises.
And that is Integrative Medicine.
We added Natural because most if not all of our treatments are based on Natural Laws; we have moved away from techno-pharmaceutical therapies although if and when the need arises we will not hesitate to refer patients for other methods of treatment we do not practice any more. In the last 21 years(since opening the clinic in October 2001) this happened less than 10 times.
We are located at 44 Karina Road, New Plymouth, 4312, Taranaki, New Zealand.
Plenty of free off-road parking.
We are NOT ACC providers.

If you arrived to this page, it means you are interested to know exactly what we do and how we do it.
For that I must first describe our concept of natural medicine: we treat people, we treat patients who happen to suffer from certain conditions that conventional medicine neatly labels, like hypertension or migraine.
Although we use those labels in conversation in order to make it easier to discuss and understand each other, we do not treat the conditions themselves, but we treat the person who carries them. Treating conditions only is about the same as repainting a wall damaged by water without repairing the leak in the pipe behind the wall: it will either recur or something worse will happen. Certainly, there are many times where intervening specifically for a particular problem is necessary; once that acute, dangerous phase is taken care of, either by natural (preferably) or conventional methods, it is imperative to address the condition which brought the patient there so that it does not happens again.
That is why our waiting room is never full and we do not have a long waiting list: we do restore health, we help people take control and responsibility of their health; we do not manage sickness/disease except in the cases where irreversible damage has been done; we try our best to put the patient into the optimal state of body/mind so that eventually he or she does not need us any more. Not a very wise business practice, but an ethical one and the one we went into medicine and nursing in the first place.......we are not rich but we can stand tall and proud.
I will now give a very short explanation, not scientific at all, of the techniques we use. The internet is full of detailed information about them, books are aplenty about them..........do not expect to read a doctoral thesis, just a few summaries to clarify our practices.
But first a few words about the dreadful word "CURE" that is a flashing light and a bait for those who try to restrict, limit and even destroy access to and practice of natural medicine and their practitioners. No practitioner of any form of medicine, techno-chemical, homeopathic, herbal, Chinese, Ayurvedic, naturopathic, manual, or other can claim to have achieved a cure (except for surgery, when needed): it is the patient that creates the cure, the return to health. Whatever we practice, we only give tools and knowledge to the patient; those tools induce changes when applied properly (this is where our professionalism comes in, in the choice and method of application of the tools). That is all there is about it...
Here you will find a short description of our major therapeutic tools, even though we use other ones, like Flower Remedies, Homotoxicology, Homeobotanicals, to cite a few of them. You will note that never was it mentioned that we use "this treatment for that disease". Clearly the treatment has to be chosen individually for each patient after a full consultation, without any preconception, without any bias towards one or another methodology. We are committed to our patients, not to a technique, an approach, a philosophy or a system of belief. We treat individuals, patients, persons, not labelled diseases
Homeopathy means "same suffering". It is based on the principle that any substance that can cause symptoms and signs in a healthy person, once adequately prepared (potentised), can remove those symptoms and signs in the sick person. The classical example, taken from conventional medicine, is the use of Ritalin in children with ADHD: ritalin is an amphetamine that would cause excitation and agitation if a healthy person would take it; yet it is given to children who present exactly those symptoms and signs and are labeled as having ADHD. A clear example of inadvertent homeopathy.....We test our remedies on healthy human beings and not on animals; the remedies are highly diluted and succussed (energised), so how do they work, as chemically you cannot find a trace of the original substance? They convey information to the physiology as to how to function properly. In other words, with homeopathy we introduce a "programme" into the "human computer" that corrects its malfunctions; sometimes you need multiple programmes.....and because of the high dilution, it is very difficult to cause any harm.
Herbalism is the use of plants for treatment and cure. This is the oldest form of medicine, so needless to say the clinical testing has been going on for hundreds of thousands of years. We use at the same time the traditional knowledge of humanity and the recently discovered "active ingredients" that explain the activity of our herbs. Despite what can be read in the press, modern clinical experimentation is continuously carried on and new understanding and knowledge accumulated daily. Nevertheless, because we use tinctures or teas and not diluted solutions, some herbs might present with problems when misused, some can be poisonous at very high doses and some cannot be used together with other medications or drugs. It makes me laugh though when I read warnings to "ask your GP about herbs and supplements"! Medical school does not teach anything about that so the person to ask is a Registered Herbalist and nobody else.
Do I really need to elaborate? with obesity an almost universal curse, reeducating people towards proper nutrition based on biology, zoology, anthropology and physiology takes an important place in each and every consultation. Not to address that issue is condemning you to an almost certain failure of your treatment! Imagine what happen to your petrol car when you put diesel as fuel.......why would you do that to your body?
Done the traditional Chinese way, based of a Chinese Medical diagnosis obtained through history, examination, tongue and pulses, this very old traditional technique is still very effective. I use it mainly for pain alleviation and in some specific situations, not as my main tool for deep therapy. It is a choice I have made, not a reflection upon the value of the therapy. I also use TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) diagnosis in all cases as this tool is extremely precise and very helpful to select remedies after having brought more clarity to some clinical situations.
This is described as "homeopathic osteopathy": providing the body a certain amount of information through positioning, light pressure and light touch, so that the correction is done by the body itself instead of by the practitioner, as is the case in Osteopathy or Chiropractic. It is not a form of manipulation in the conventional understanding of the term, but a form of "body education". I am a student of this wonderful discipline but will not become a full practitioner because of the demands for full registration that do not fit the way I practice...therefore I do not call myself an Ortho-Bionomy Practitioner, but have integrated the principles and the techniques in DSSI .
The principle behind this method is that all organs have their own mobility and motility. Once those are compromised, their functions are compromised too and they perform less than optimally. A simple method of restoring mobility and motility is used though physical manipulation. Old osteopaths, Dr. Still's students, used to perform similar manipulations. The French osteopath Jean-Pierre Barral has "rediscovered" this method and made it clear, simple and scientific. Results speak for themselves.
A very gentle method to restore the natural physiological discreet motions of the cranial bones and the circulation of CSF (cerebro-spinal fluid). This of course is contested by conventional practitioners and I must admit that I was very doubtful until I tried and saw the results. I am currently studying (slowly) with the Upledger Institute.
This is the integration of ortho-bionomy, visceral manipulation, CST, Dorn method, Tai Chi, Qigong, yoga and TCM into a coherent methodology and a scientific explanation of how this works (refer to the book DSSI). All those methods overlap each other and in fact complete each other to form one single therapeutic method whose totality is more effective than each component separately.
Naturopathy as a practice integrates many different disciplines into a way of looking at the patient and treating him/her with the most appropriate tool needed at the time of the consultation. A Naturopath will use any and many of the therapies described on this page, and also others that I do not use or explain here.
Even though I have a Doctorate in Osteopathy from the New Jersey College of Osteopathy, I am NOT registered to practice Osteopathy in New Zealand and do NOT offer any of the conventional Osteopathic or Chiropractic techniques like HVLA (high velocity low amplitude). I do refer to those registered practitioners if and when I consider there would be a benefit for the patient.
All body parts have their image in the sole of the foot (and in the ear too). Through local stimulation of the soles, a therapeutic action on the organs and functions of the body is possible and easy to obtain. A reflexology treatment is at the same time non-specific as the whole foot, hence the totality of the patient, is treated, and specific as more time can be devoted to problematic areas to treat active pathology. No harm can ever be done through reflexology as you walk on your feet with your whole weight all the time. Pressing with a thumb on a foot cannot do any damage whatsoever.......Having been trained in South Africa by Inge Dougans, Eugenie has now integrated in her reflexology treatments Reiki, Pranic Healing as well as Meridian Therapy; this makes it deeper, more effective and acting faster, although from plain observation you might not be aware of the difference.
Many misalignments of the spine have their origin in the feet; a misaligned spine can cause not only pain but dysfunction of organs as Osteopaths and Chiropractors know very well. FJM is a specific technique that helps reposition the feet bones, with secondary effects on the whole body. The techniques are very precise and must be executed correctly. Eugenie is an Advanced Practitioner in FJM and very good at it.
Reiki is a purely energetic therapeutic modality, where the practitioner transfers the universal energies, the Qi, the Tao, you name it whatever you want, to the patient. This very gentle method helps re-balance the function of the body at all levels. It is very soothing, very relaxing and allows the body to find and use its own therapeutic powers, it innate ability to correct problems and to cure; we have seen very surprising reactions at all levels, physical, mental and emotional. Soft and gentle, but very powerful indeed.
Another form of energetic healing, Pranic Healing is based on Indian medical theory and philosophy. It is surprisingly effective and fast and integrates well in the methodology of Ayurveda, but can be used on its own, as a single therapy, mostly for people who will not tolerate more physical, material approaches; nevertheless, patients with very material, anatomical problems do react very well to Pranic healing and even better when combined with other approaches.

A teenager's view of vaccinations.
My son Jonathan, when he was 19 years old, surprised me by giving me this text. He is into computers, has no link or interest whatsoever to any type of medicine, except that he and his sister have to listen to my continuous rantings (poor kids....).
Now here is an original explanation of the harm done by vaccination; it will appeal to younger people, teens, who are bored to death by pontifying old farts like me.
Jonathan has given permission to copy, diffuse, publish his text by whatever means available, as long as proper credit is given. So feel free to forward anywhere and everywhere.....
Vaccination - an Analogy
Vaccinations are effective at creating mutants. No, that doesn't mean that your children, or children's children (if you were so lucky), will be born with three eyes or the ability to spit flames out of their ears. Let's face it; if that were the case more people would be doing it. Here's a stab at an analogy that might be clearer than the paragraphs of genetic jargon that most don't bother trying to understand.
Imagine your body is a little fort set on a grassy plain, fairly stable and feeling as secure as it is possible to be. Sure you have all the little subsections of it with their own little jobs, but concentrate on the relevance of your many little soldiers (purely in the metaphorical vein, not those other "little soldiers") as they constantly patrol about your fort. No real problem arise since your troops get the attention they need and replaced as the need arises, a somewhat grave assumption/generalization really, but just pretend. Suddenly, one day a band of merry barbarians ransack another fort nearby (or so you've heard from your friendly high-ranking forts). That battle was messy, with the civilians shaken and many soldiers lying splattered or little more than mush spread along the grassy knolls, but the barbarians were driven off, or even wiped out. It sounds quite terrible but for the purpose of this example this is natural; a brief cleaning job and a little while to recover, more than likely calling in some outside support to rebuild, and the only remnants of the fight would have been a tactic developed for future reference. Completely normal, it happens all the time, sometimes the troops are the only ones to even realize anything is going on.
But you're not like those other forts that let their soldiers get splattered everywhere, maybe you don't entirely trust these outside reinforcements that are offered as an easy, if daily part of routine. So you look around and find out that the larger, high-up forts are offering this way that assures that after a little pinch you'll never have to worry about having to put your little soldiers in jeopardy. Oh, it seems too good to be, but you trust these big people to take care of you. They've taken good care of you so far, haven't they? They set up your transports efficiently, paved secure trading routes and made sure you had a comfortable existence, right? Oh, I'm sure they're getting on that soon then. Regardless you trust they have whatever you need since they're on top, even though you didn't vote for them to begin with, and so get set to have this miracle reinforcement.
Soon after you receive a small box at your doorstep with no instructions, but your troops know what to do. You have a handful of those fearsome barbarians, or at least you assume they once were, tied to polls desperately trying to reach at their dulled swords while their nasty upbringing is the only thing still keeping them up. The rest of the afternoon is a lovely time bashing at the gimped barbarians with flails while others examine the technology of their not-at-all-useful weaponry. This was a productive day; surely you've raised morale, prepared yourself for the enemy's offensive capabilities and even found the best places to aim at. Immediately you begin fortifying your walls; no more of this wood stuff, brick and mortar that no pike could penetrate. Why, you're impervious! Those barbarians take one look at the thick, tall walls that are your defences and turn away to look for someone else to annoy, but alas, everyone else in range of their mules has already done the same as yourself. Surely they are now a dying kind, and you did your part to survive.
A month later the barbarians return to your doorstep in the hundreds, toting full plate armour, catapults, trebuchets and other siege engines. You weren't expecting that, I'm sure, but the barbarians learned from their neighbour's mistakes and came prepared. How did they do it? Well, they're not as stupid as one would make them out to be. They waited, they grew in strength and number after some reports from what survived in past attacks that were successful. But you were never attacked before! Right? How could they know your defences when you've never actually met (that you know of)? Oh wait, you got that little crate some time ago, which thousands of others received as well, exact copies in fact, and these new and improved super barbarians don't need to know what you can do since you prepared the exact same way as everyone else. Now the higher-ups ask you to get this other little parcel that will hold off an invasion, and you trust them because you didn't have much trouble after the first time.
So what about these people who went crazy and refused the package of gimped barbarians, and took these reinforcements on a regular basis that you shunned due to mistrust? Their forces are large and resources vast with stores of equipment and provisions for battle. They prepared for everything, even if their defences don't seem to be substantial to you. Their forces can continue to fight longer before dwindling, though that is of little concern as they increase their reinforcements daily. They can deal with the average troupe of barbarians as if it was hardly a nuisance, and they can even stave off the oddities that you helped create. There are more of them, significantly, and they operate much faster with their surroundings, heavy plate and siege weapons be damned.
What relevance does this have to anything at all? If you have to ask, then you've missed the point entirely. Go to your mailbox; you probably have a package waiting.
This is a first aid course in Natural Medicine for the general public. It is aimed at people who do not have any medical or nursing training and want to treat the minor incidents, accidents and ailments of daily life, like parents, grandparents, teachers, and coaches, anybody who comes in contact with the public and can be in the situation where they need to administer some medical help.
It is based on Natural Medicine and we will be recommending and explaining the use of homeopathic remedies, herbal remedies, herbs you can find in your garden or in public places and many things you have in your pantry and never suspected can be used as medicine. We recommend only safe substances, those that are known not to cause any problem and can be used even when taking conventional drugs. We will cover accidents, injuries and common ailments like fever, colds, coughs, ear, nose, throat, mouth conditions, headaches, digestive problems, kidney, bladder and urogenital problems.
Practitioners are encouraged to direct their patients towards this course, if they do not teach one themselves, so that they can become self-sustaining when it comes to taking charge of daily life events.
You can find the full programme, registration and more details on this website: https://yescourse.com/~/healthydemy/#!store/there-is-a-doctor-in-my-pantry/

So, there is a nasty, aggressive virus circulating worldwide, it is deadly, what do we do, what do we do, what do we do, OMG, OMG, OMG????
It is not the first one, and it will not be the last one, realise that.
We should be aware, concerned, vigilant and take all precautions that do make any sense and have often be shown as useful and effective throughout history. But first of all, we should lose that irrational panicky fear that gripes us, understandably, when we look at what is happening around us. We know very well that fear as well as negative emotions depress the function of the immune system, the very same we need in optimal condition right now.
If you are still with me by now, let us go through what we can rationally do to protect ourselves from any virus, bacteria, pathogen with whom we have been living with on Earth; this is not limited to the covid19 one, it is valid for any type of infectious disease, with needed modifications when required. I will not give references, this being a simple letter, not an academic paper.
The pathogen or the terrain? Pasteur or Beauchamp? A continuous argument in the world of medicine. The answer is simple: both. Even a very aggressive pathogen will have a hard time surviving or creating serious damage in a fully healthy person; that damage will rarely create death although it should not be construed as something impossible. By the same token, dealing with a pathogen within the confines of a weakened terrain/system leads to the necessity to destroy or at least radically diminish said pathogen's ability to create havoc, so that the organism, with its weakened defenses and the help of natural therapies can emerge from the disease. Prevention is the main issue.
The first and maybe the most important step is to eliminate the common factor to all diseases: chronic pathological inflammation; on that everybody agrees.
Obviously, it starts by not creating it, not perpetuating it, not allowing it to remain in our bodies. This comes down to eliminating radically and permanently all foods that create and maintain inflammation: all cereals (the ancient grains like quinoa, amaranth, teff, buckwheat, are OK), all high glycaemic index foods, cereals being the main culprits again and all dairy products. There is enough published literature about that to give you a serious headache and hangover for a week if you care to read it. Healthy eating that reinforces the immune system is the real Paleo diet (a misnomer in my opinion) and not the modifications made by some "celebrities", removing pulses, legumes, beans, lentils. There are many more advantages health wise to that nutritional pattern.
Optimising the immune system is a valid step regarding every infectious disease as well as allowing the physiology to deal with cancer cells if and when they appear in our bodies. Nothing to sneer at. We start again with nutrition as mentioned above: the proteins in the cereals (not just the gluten but the others too that are present in the gluten-free cereals) block the immune system; sugars and high glycaemic index foods block the immune system; so do casein and lactose. Enough said.
Now for a catalogue of supplements:
Vitamin A strengthens to respiratory mucosa and other ones; this mucosa, from the nose to the alveoli as well as the mouth and conjunctiva, is the point of entry for many viruses; it must become the first barrier. Up to 10,000IU/day for an adult is safe.
Vitamin C does not need any introduction when it come to immunity. My criterion for optimal dose is bowel tolerance: as much as you can until the stools become soft, then back off slightly. This marks tissue saturation; the gut cannot absorb any more of the vitamin.
Vitamin D3 is also a well-known immune enhancer on top of its other properties. The dosage should be determined according to the blood levels of 25-OH-vitamin D, which we like to see at 150 nml/L or 60 ng/L. Tests are necessary because the dosage will vary from person to person with no clear way to predict a needed dose or even a minimum dose. It should always be taken with Vitamin K2 (a calcitonin activator) and Magnesium to avoid the formation of lithiasis and calcifications in the body.
Vitamin B6 has been demonstrated as an important cofactor in lowering the severity of the recent pandemic. My suggestion is to take it in a well formulated multi-B complex, as it is known that all Bs work together in synergy.
Zinc (acetate or gluconate), Selenium (selenomethionine), Iodine are all needed for optimal immune function.
Olive leaf extract, 1000 to 2000 mg/day, will keep the bugs away.
Nigella sativa seed and/or oils (Black cumin) is traditionally said to prevent and cure every disease but death. You will find many studies reinforcing this traditional approach.
Camellia sinensis in the form of green tea has so many components, antioxidants, proanthocyanidins that improve immunity that full textbooks have been written about it. The most powerful one is the traditional Japanese Matcha tea. I make mine with Ginger root (fresh one) which is also an excellent antioxidant and anti-inflammatory, and I add Tulsi (Holy Basil) for its traditional Ayurvedic indications and as an adaptogen.
Turmeric is also one of the best immune stimulants and anti-inflammatory, but it needs to be taken with fat (I use coconut oil) and black pepper.
Last but not least, let's not forget blueberries and Spirulina!
What about some herbs?
Sambucus nigra is a specific herbal remedy attacking the influenza virus but is also active against many other viruses. Here are a few more in not specific order, with repetitions, and you can find many more in herbal textbooks:
Salvia milthiorrhiza, Strophantus, Rheum, Camellia sinensis, Aesculus, Withania (Ashwaganda), Zingiber, Curcuma, Nigella sativa oil, Scutellaria baicalensis, Prunus, Lonicera, Mentha, Moschus, Calendula, Phytolacca, Drosera, Allium S, Armoracia (influenza), Matricaria, Calendula (flu, herpes), Origanum Compactum, Phytolacca (flu, HSV1, polio), Glycyrrhiza (inactivates HSV and others irreversibly), Drosera (plumbazine against flu virus), Chelidonium, Taraxacum, Agrimonia, Hypericum (hypericin against retrovirus), Carduus M (hepatitis B), Melissa (HSV 1& 2), Chamomilla (inhibits RNA synthesis in Polio virus), Allium S ( against all viruses), Eucalyptus (neutralizes rabies virus in 10 hours), Tabebuia Avellanda (rabies too), Buplerum falcatum, Scutellaria baicalensis, Arctium lappa, the "Shrooms" Cordyceps, Reishii, Shiitake, Andrographis, Adathoda Justicia.
See, you have a vast choice according to what you know, what is available, but read about them before using them.
Am I neglecting homeopathic remedies? Absolutely not, but we need to divide the homeopathic approach into its components, some being called homeopathic but not really being it as they are not individualised and have no proving.
Starting with those is Homeoprophylaxis, or the use of the nosode of the actual infectious germ, based on the same very ancient principle than vaccination but without all its problems: presenting the information about the germ to the immune system so that it can recognise it and act against it before it had the opportunity to install itself in the organism and create havoc. You may use the system created by Dr. Isaac Golden or simplified systems, whatever you fancy and have experience in will be good, often effective and without side-effects.
Genus epidemicus does not need any presentation if it is available. But to wait passively to have enough cases to find one or a few remedies answering to the criteria of genus epidemicus, while people are suffering and dying, is in my opinion at least unethical, malpractice and even criminal, given that we have Homeoprophylaxis available.
Over the last year, many remedies have been presented as being THE one to treat all cases. All too often with affirmations by some pseudo-gurus that theirs was the best and only one to be used. Looking at them, it becomes clear that those remedies, being effective in the hands of those practitioners, were simply local genus epidemicus remedies. Each patient will need the usual personalised approach. Being an acute pathology, it would take just a few minutes of quick collection of symptoms, signs, complaints and modalities, looking in the throat and the ears, lung auscultation, abdomen palpation, check that all pulses are present, clinical repertorisation and remedy prescription. We have no interest in those circumstances to understand why the patient is afraid of watermelons or has erotic dreams!
What about "geography" and the environment?
First our clinics: I simply use a diffuser with essential oils. Most of them are virucidal and bactericidal, therefore the choice is yours. I chose Eucalyptus, Oregano and Lavender to which I am now adding Pine as it has been shown that pine extract has the ability to neutralise the famous "spikes" that vaccinated people are now disseminating. They also smell good, which is an extra bonus.
Mask or no mask, that is the question… oh the war that has torn humanity apart, for no reason! As a surgeon, neither I nor any of my colleagues or nurses has ever shown any of the dramatic complications of mask wearing that invade our screens and mailboxes. And for a good reason. We wore them when needed; we changed them all the time, preventing bacterial and fungal growth; we used high quality clean uncontaminated masks, not the "crappy" single-use ones that have been commercialised in haste. I now use a fabric one, triple layer, only when needed or compelled, for the minimum of time and wash it immediately. When do I use it? In planes, for two reasons: one, it makes the others feel more comfortable; two, it prevents me from inhaling blobs of mucus from others in close proximity. I also put some Vaseline with the aforementioned essential oils up my nose when I fly and spray my throat with a herbal antiseptic… and of course my immune system is in optimal shape. Is it really needed? Maybe not but it is a small inconvenience for maybe big benefits.
Isolation and social distancing: just take the time to read the history of epidemics. Even in the Middle Ages, cities and villages isolated themselves, refusing entry to anyone else after the gates were closed and those were the survivors, even though they did not know anything about what I wrote earlier on, except for the essential oils that were used in masks (hello!) by Doctors, corpse collectors and grave diggers to protect them very effectively.
Good enough for you guys?

Clinical Dynamic Gemmotherapy to resolve diagnostic disease conditions when your well indicated modality and deep constitutional treatment does not work
Take control of your health through homoeopathy and natural medicines found in your homes and gardens.
This course is for the general public, a first aid course that will help you deal with the common events that can occur at home, the gym, at friends, etc...
Neurodegenerative diseases like Alzheimer, Parkinson, Huntington, Multiple sclerosis are considered incurable by conventional medicine.
We demonstrate here that there is an immense amount of approaches and possibilities for both prevention and treatment of those diseases: lifestyle, nutrition, supplements, manual medicine, herbal remedies and homeopathic medicine to quote only the most important.
There is no need for fatalism and despair when confronted with the possibility of such a diagnosis. There are options and many of them already exist in every household, in every kitchen, in every pantry.
Natural Medicine practitioners of all kinds are able to deal with those pathologies.
Those possibilities are clearly presented in this book, which is meant to be a clinical tool in every real medicine clinic.

Choosing between using one single remedy (Unicism), multiple single remedies (Pluralism) or a mix of remedies and potencies (Complexism) has plagued the teaching and practice of Homeopathy since its inception. It is also the most divisive subject in conversations and discussions between professional homeopaths, often leaving students and beginning practitioners in fear of asking questions, of commenting and experimenting lest they become publicly exposed to the wrath and furore of some zealous advocates of one of those methods...hardly a professional behaviour suited to allegedly enlightened healers. Yet, except for dogma and repetitive mantras with different words or grammar but with the same emptiness, no real clear and objective arguments have been offered, at least to my knowledge, during my thirty years of practice. I trained in all those different methodologies, in many schools I attended. I often talk to myself too: at least I am certain I will always win the argument...so I decided it was time for me to have a serious conversation with me about this issue slowly destroying Homeopathy. This booklet is the end result of that conversation. It evolved into it from what was originally designed to be an article for publication in a journal. The outcome is quite surprising in a way, but I will not spoil the joy of discovering it...
The latest and probably last book about the Fibonacci potencies, based on 17years of personal experience and more than 2000 individual, personal prescriptions, as well as reports from colleagues. Here you have the most detailed treatise about potencies, why sometimes (or all too often) the regular ones do not work, the logic and science behing the Fibonacci series of potencies and the practical way to use them.
"The famous last words" relate to the fact I believe, at the time of writing, that I will need to update it again and again.
Since its publication in 2016, I could not find anything to modify or add to the text. Minor tweaks of the system have of course to be done at times; this is the realm of the practitioner and the individual patient.
It is available through www.lulu.com
When I started using the Fibonacci Potencies, I published two papers relating the principles and the evolution of the method.
Then in 2010, I published the first full book relating 4-5 years of experience with the method. As the experience grew and more colleagues started using it, this book, "The Potency" became obsolete although still correct, but very basic.
This is when I wrote "Fibonacci Potencies. The famous last words" that totally superseeds "The Potency" both in the theory, the applications and the experience with many more patients and reports from colleagues.
"The Potency" is now a historical book that I do not recommend purchasing if you can still find copies, unless you are interested in the evolutionary history of the method.
Available in print and as eBooks. The print is in 3 volumes; volumes 1 & 2 are together in eBooks.
Volume 1: Theory and Materia Medicas
Volume 2: More theory and the Repertory
Volume 3: A textbook of Clinical Dynamic Gemmotherapy (this one is in A4 dimensions to make its consultation easier: it is a clinical tool for daily use)
All available at www.lulu.com
If you also want to have the Materia Medica and Repertory as a Software standalone (no frill, no fuss, no theory or anything else), here is a place:
Access the vast potential of 55 Gemmotherapeutics through the World's Most Intuitive Homeopathic Software.
This software is also included in the Homeopathic programmes HomeoQuest, MacRepertory & ReferenceWorks (unavailable), SHS and to be soon included in RadarOpus.
It is based on the fact that improper diet is the major and most neglected obstacle to cure. Restoring a human "fuelling" allows many symptoms, signs and complaints to disappear and exposes the real inner disturbances we are supposed to treat, instead of being drowned in the toxic symptomatology of "foods" that should never be eaten.
Three editions of the same book with the same information:
- The "deluxe" one, with all illustrations in colour: http://www.lulu.com/shop/dr-joe-rozencwajg-nmd/elementary-nutrition-for-homeopaths/paperback/product-22484538.html
- The monochrome, black and white one, about half the cost of the previous one: http://www.lulu.com/shop/dr-joe-rozencwajg-nmd/elementary-nutrition-for-homeopaths-monochrome/paperback/product-22485694.html
- And the eBook in PDF format, the cheapest alternative: http://www.lulu.com/shop/dr-joe-rozencwajg-md-phd-nmd/elementary-nutrition-for-homeopaths/ebook/product-22484571.html
It was at the same time fascinating and terrifying to put that information together and realise how much people self-destruct without knowing it.
Its heterozygous twin brother is on the way, titled "Elementary Human Nutrition for Health Practitioners", with the same nutritional value but without reference to homeopathy, for those who prefer using other modalities or are not comfortable with it.
An updated and upgraded scientific explanation and clinical guide to the understanding and practice of modern Homeopathy, integrating multiple methodologies in Natural Medicine that are relevant to Homeopathy (Herbalism, Gemmotherapy, Acupuncture and TCM, Ayurveda), as well as Water Physics, Genetics and more.
Explanations on Core remedies, Constitutions, a new approach of the infamous "Miasms" according to 21st Century science, Homeophysiology and wied but funny chapter, "The Proving of a Method" relating my own trip through testing the Fibonacci series and the Miasms theory, using multiple very much indicated remedies...
In print and as an eBook, available from www.lulu.com
The body does not lie...
sometimes, the patient does, or forgets important information, hides it for any reason. Using the methods of TCM Pulse examination and Tongue examination, simplified so that anyone can use them to unearth deep, intimate problems, offers a way to bring them to the patient's consciousness and allow him/her to finally deal with them and remove them from their lives.
It is a practical manual, based on clinical experience and theory, but you will be able to use the techniques immediately.
Only as an eBook from www.lulu.com
How comes that sometimes a remedy obviously well chosen works poorly? Or gives terrible aggravations? In today's world, we are confronted not only with diseases, acute or chronic, but with a slow intoxication and intoxination of our organism, a slow, subtle, insensible but all pervading and almost unavoidable poisoning. Detoxification has become a mantra of health. Everybody offers a product or a technique, yet we see little permanent results. This is because there must be a clinical logic to it, which is rarely present. Commercial hype abunds, science is lacking. There is a main principle that has to be respected: start by repairing the system, then enhance it and finally detoxify. Although this book was written in 2015, its content is still current and actual.
Only in eBook as it need an update, upgrade, some modification in presentation to make it more user friendly... it is coming, soonish... but don't hold you breath.
It is subtitled "A Neurophysiological and Biological Approach to Manual Medicine". In other words, trying to explain how and why Ortho-Bionomy, Visceral Manipulation, Craniosacral Theraapy work and why I do combine those methods with energeetic approaches.
A theoretical small book, available for a change from Narayana Publishers.
I have used Mac Repertory and Reference Works since I started practiting homeopathy. I do not use any software for any other methodology, I rely on good old books.
Unfortunately MR & RW have now been replaced by SHS, which so far has been a disgrace. Updates and upgrades are on their way, which of course I will install and let you know about as soon as I am again familiar with the programme.
The major repertory I use is the Complete by Roger van Zandvoort. It is integrated in MacRep but I also use the regularly updated Complete Dynamics as a stand-alone: it is a monumental work, although a bit "clunky" to use for a computer-brain-dead like me... but an excellent tool, highly recommended.
I have recently acquired the new RadarOpus and also the new Adonis Synthesis by Frank Schroyens, which is the backbone of this programme and a lot easier to navigate, user friendly and relatively intuitive compared to the earlier versions that I had the opportunity to test.
Here are some links and explanatory videos: https://www.radaropus.com/products/synthesis/synthesis-version-history
A 5 minute summary:
A one hour lecture:
Another software I use and can heartily recommend in HomeoQuest: this one has a Quest function that works a bit like Reference Works, where words and phrases can be searched in the whole library; this is on top of the regular form of repertorisation. It is easy lo learn and use and very practical.
You can download a free basic version, get used to it, then if you want, add books and repertories.
My own Repertory and Materia Medica about Dynamic Gemmotherapy is part of Mac Rep, SHS, HomeoQuest and will soon be included in RadarOpus.
The clinic and the off road abundant parking.
Dr. Joe in all his glory!
